Our Corporate Safety Policy is based upon the belief that accidents can be prevented and property damage arising from accidents can be minimized. Accident prevention is paramount for both employees and the company.

 

Third Party Health and Safety Management

Since April 2014 Aries Contracting has worked with SP Safety Solutions as a third party consulting, training and compliance agency in order to establish health & safety as part of our Aries Contracting company culture. SP Safety Solutions maintains a consistent presence in the safety efforts at Aries Contracting and works with our team to update our Health & Safety Policies & Programs and ensure we are current on all regulatory requirements, provide annual training, conduct site inspections and safety audits. In this way Aries Contracting ensures construction site safety and provincial compliance to all current Health & Safety legislation and regulations.

Aries contracting is a member in good standing in the worker safety programs in Ontario, Manitoba, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador. Aries is also an active participant in the Certificate of Recognition (COR). The Certificate of Recognition (COR™) is nationally trademarked and endorsed by participating members of the Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations (CFCSA). It provides employers with an effective tool to assess their health and safety management system.

Aries Is An Advocate Of Health Promotion

Aries Contracting takes health and safety one large step further by investing in programs and services that enable its employees to increase control over, and to improve, their health. Aries regularly provides information on healthy lifestyle choices and offers support to staff to participate in nutrition, stress management and tobacco cessation and other programs and services. In 2015 Aries worked closely with the Ottawa Public Health Office to develop an Aries Contracting specific Smoking Cessation Program that achieved success in over 50% of our employees.
